BRENTWOOD, Tenn., October 29, 2018 – Players wearing footwear with replaceable cleat technology captured victories at the World Golf Championships, PGA TOUR, LPGA Tour and PGA Tour Champions events over the weekend.
“It was another great week for players wearing cleated footwear with wins across the board,” said John Hohman, senior vice president of marketing for PrideSports. “It was especially gratifying to see two of the top players in the world return to footwear with cleats at the WGC HSBC Champions. We had a feeling it would only be a matter of time before they returned to using a shoe with replaceable traction. There is no substitute.”
In addition to the winner at the WGC HSBC Champions event, 21 out of the top 22 finishers wore cleats. Replaceable cleats were also on the footwear of the winners of the PGA TOUR’s Sanderson Farms Championship, the Swinging Skirts LPGA Taiwan Championship and the Invesco QQQ Championship on the PGA Tour Champions tour.
