BRENTWOOD, Tenn., January 21, 2019 – With 2019’s first full weekend of activity across the major golf tours teeing off, cleated footwear was once again front and center. Winners on the PGA TOUR, LPGA Tour, European Tour and Asian Tour all put their trust in footwear featuring replaceable cleat technology.
“With the frigid weather across the country, I’m sure many others like me were glad to have a full weekend of golf to watch,” said John Hohman, senior vice president of marketing for PrideSports. “And, it was also great to see the top golfers in the world continue to rely on cleated footwear to help them perform at their highest levels.”
The victor at the Desert Classic calmly captured his first win on the PGA TOUR with a solid putt on the final hole. He was joined by 17 of the top 18 finishers at the event who all chose footwear with replaceable cleat technology over spikeless/tennis shoes. Cleats were also on the footwear of the winners at the LPGA’s Diamonds Resorts Tournament of Champions, the European Tour’s Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and Asian Tour’s SMBC Singapore Open.
